Offered for your consideration is a YAMAHA #110028 5” inch woofer removed from my YAMAHA NS-AC3 center channel speaker, manufactured in 1996. This model mid/bass driver range may have been used in other period YAMAHA speakers, but the buyer is responsible for determining its suitability for any other models. So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if this exceptional YAMAHA midwoofer should be yours. * Although the listing is written largely in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical YAMAHA 110028 woofers are available at the time of this writing. This YAMAHA woofer is in clean, excellent condition. The paper cone is flawless and so is the poly voice coil dustcap. Plus, the black, injection-molded basket is perfect as well. Also, the surround is permanent synthetic textile, not the time-sensitive foam still in use by many other brands when it was made. And, the double-stacked magnet structure and its metal cover have no chips or oxidation. Lastly, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this woofer looks practically new! Most importantly, it’s been fully tested and sounds terrific with fast, detailed mid frequencies and stout bass output for the platform size. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 5.9Ω consistent with a nominal 6 ohm driver rating. And, the basket flange measures 5½” across, 6¼” from the corners, it stands 3½” (incl. the surround roll), and the mount holes are spaced 4” adjacent / 5¾” on the diagonal apart, c-t-c.
