Pair of 1966 base NEW YORK passenger license plates , from ONONDAGA COUNTY (Syracuse and vicinty) in central NY, with validation sticker on one for 1972. Steel plates use a royal blue base with orange embossed lettering and rims. 100% original paint, with no touch-ups. THE TOP PLATE HAS BEEN SOLD: ONLY THE BOTTOM PLATE FROM THIS PAIR IS LEFT. LOW, 4-digit registration! Plates are STRAIGHT and lie COMPLETELY FLAT, with no bends, no tears to metal, and no extra holes. Paint is SOLID and STRONG , with still excellent gloss. Some light rust, notably around bolt holes and on back; top plate (without sticker) is in slightly better shape. Plates can easily be remounted on wall or other flat surface.
